thanksgiving draws to a close

The end of thanksgiving break marks a crucial moment in my life, the separation of family as we all move out of our houses. Brother and sister less my closest kin I can relate to are my cousins who lead very different and quizzical lives. The events each marks as success different from each other, as well as from myself. But still we have fun and hand out and recall good memories, as well as create new ones. Social problems to complex theory cross our conversations and the time passes quickly. Sunday comes and the drive home is long, but now I have a book to whisper stories to me in my spare time.

thanksgiving break

The week drew to an end and I have finished another book and explained my rationale through text. I wish I had more time because, although my paper was lengthy to begin with, had allot more I wish I had the time to cover. Unfortunately that is not how the world turns and I’m on to the next lessen. "Flowers for Algernon" is my next adventure, and I am hopefully this book will be better then the last. This novel comes highly recommended and has received countless praise. The only thing I worry about is the grammatically incorrect nature of the text.

Blog Post #2

-after reading "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep" i was ecstatic to find out the book- witch came out in the 60,s- was made into a movie. -witch came out in 82- called "Blade Runner". unfortunately the movie was horrible. not only was it bad, it was nothing like the book at all. i felt that only the names remained the same between the book and the movie. "director" Ridley Scott found the book a lame excuse to put together a painfully futuristic film noir staring Harrison Ford and effectively spit on Philip's masterpiece of a novel. somehow the film managed to win several awards and get nominated for both the academy awards and the golden globes. maybe the film isn't worthless but it is the opposite of the book witch ruined it for me.

Blog Post #1

- finished my book a while back. I enjoyed the book allot and was very enthralled in the text often before I went to sleep. Unfortunately the book was very short and saw its end in only a few hundred pages. It’s an amazing thinker book as well as an escapist book that will draw emotions out of those who see life perceptively. The book is about a bounty hunter who instead of killing or arresting humans is tasked to "retire" faulty androids who have murdered there owners and fled to earth. the androids themselves have become more intelligent and human like than ever and the book become especially interesting when he finds it harder and harder to morally kill the increasingly human like androids. without giving away too much of the book, (Kyle highly recommends), he falls in love with one of the functioning company robots only to find out that he must "retire" an android with the same look as the one was with.
